Advantage have been a trusted partner of Property Brokers for over 10 years now supporting our 43 branches and almost 800 endpoints. More recently Advantage has been providing a significant amount of assistance in the security space; it is just no longer possible to maintain the sort of knowledge you need to stay ahead of all the latest threats inhouse so having an experienced partner in this space is invaluable. In a number of instances Advantage have provided immediate assistance as a result of a cyber attack and have provided us with solutions and guidance to ensure that we continue to reduce our exposure.
About a year ago UCOL decided to move all core systems off premise and to the Advantage data centre. The Advantage facilities are 'A' grade and the staff are competent and very accommodating. They are solution focussed and instead of logging a ticket, we can pick up the phone and talk to a person. Ageing hardware and difficulty of migrating control apps to a new platform (meant a total rebuild, reconfig, re-commissioning) but virtualisation of servers was chosen to improve availability and recoverability. There was doubt as to whether w2000k based server, real time controls, data-links / databases, HMIs, engineering and diagnostics would work properly. Advantage worked through these issues with us, trial runs were made on hot-spare systems, providing a fast and effective way of virtualising this.
Liquorland has undergone some major projects in the last 6 months with a focus on upgrading and managing a large device fleet around the country. Advantage has worked with the team to understand the environment challenges, shared with us best practice and quickly tabled tactical solutions. We rolled out the Advantage Pulseway RMM tool and now our IT team can easily and cost effectively remotely manage all endpoints from anywhere. Advantage has also taken over our endpoint security management with their Managed Detection and Response solution, watching our endpoints 24/7 for Cyberattacks.

Overland Footwear Group
We are a small IT team looking after a number of endpoints around the country, we engaged Advantage to upgrade our antimalware solution to the latest and review our security overall. We found Advantage responsive and easy to deal with and have a spread of security products to suit a wide-range of organisations. Their monthly Phishing Simulation and Training has really helped with staff education at the store levels, which as a business that depends on emails, has always been a risk.

McVerry Crawford consulted with Advantage towards a hosted cloud solution, ongoing managed support and security services for our four regionally based dealerships. The result was a successfully delivered project migrating and updating old on-premise servers to a complete hosted solution with minimal disruption. The Advantage helpdesk and SOC teams continue to provide ongoing proactive maintenance, security monitoring and immediate support to a high standard.
Medlab Central
Advantage has provided infrastructure as a service and support to Medlab Central for more than a decade, allowing them to focus on their critically important laboratory and diagnostic services to the health sector throughout the North Island. More recently Advantage has worked with Medlab Central to provide a 24x7 managed security platform designed to protect them, their systems and their customer data now and into the future.
Universal Packaging
Universal Packaging has used the Managed Services provided by Advantage for several years. These services provide proactive maintenance of the network, firewall, AV security and immediate support for our users through the Advantage helpdesk. They are expertly managed and provide a level of security and technology that would be extremely difficult for us to manage in-house. The helpdesk service is fast, efficient and friendly and we have seen excellent uptake by our users who find talking to Advantage as natural as talking to their colleagues. PEC Fuel Systems
A large corporate was looking to divest one of their businesses that was fully integrated into its extensive IT infrastructure. All the knowledge of this infrastructure was held off site and technical services had been provided remotely, so no knowledge existed on the site being divested. We talked with the team at Advantage, and the skills of the team and the helpful attitude was evident immediately and comforting. Around 20 systems had to change over 1 long weekend, where the Advantage team put in an absolutely incredible and tireless effort. It was very humbling to watch and to see the energy of the team they had available get into their work and deliver. It was well planned and trialled prior.
